PREMEKON STARTED BUSINESS IN 1981 IN LAPPEENRANTA
Engineering firm opens on Kirkkokatu in Lappeenranta. Focused on designing pressure equipment and structures.
Engineering firm Premekon founded in 1984.
Moving into new premises on Kirkkokatu in Lappeenranta (next to the Scania coach in the photo). In the first few years, Premekon’s design team forges a strong relationship with Valmet.
Premekon adopts CAD software for the first time.
Move to new premises on Toikansuontie.
With the move to Toikansuontie, the company also starts manufacturing service platforms and steel structures. During the same year, the company moves to Pesu, near Lappeenranta, where it will stay until 1996.
MOVE TO PUUSEPÄNTIE IN JOUTSENO
Business expands in the Puusepäntie unit and the first call for tenders arrives from Valmet. First service bridges delivered to Valmet.
PUUSEPÄNTIE PREMISES TAKEN OVER BY PREMEKON
Premekon takes over the entirety of the premises on Puusepäntie, where the company manufactures and delivers its first all-aluminium service bridge.
FIRST DELIVERY TO VALMET KARLSTAD
Premekon shifts focus to turnkey solutions.

2010 CO2 (carbon dioxide) laser tube and sheet cutting machine.
2013 Voortman drill line and CE marking for service bridges.
2014 Shot blasting line.
2015 Kemppi ARC System welding quality management system.
2016 Largest project in Premekon’s history, MFBTT Äänekoski, expands the company’s workforce to over 80 employees and revenue to over EUR 12 million.
2017 Plasma cutting line.
2020 Yaskawa rail welding robot deployed. Three-designer office in Latvia.
2022 Largest revenue in the company’s history: EUR 26.5 million. Over 100 employees across three locations.
